I am a Spanish documentary photographer from Madrid based in Manchester, UK. Originally trained as a film-maker, in 2009 I received a distinction at ‘Film and Media’ production by Sheffield Hallam University. I am still making films and I run: Viva La Zoom video production company and Viva La Wedding Photography. Discovering photography was a slow process which started from a profound admiration to some of the most prestigious street and documentary photographers like Alex Webb, Harry Gruyaert, Cristina Garcia Rodero and many more. After a couple of trips to Myanmar (Burma) with mentor photographer Maciej Dackowicz, the bug for photography grew so much that took over most aspects of my life. I am now involved in a few different photographic projects mainly involving my home country and the place where I live, Manchester.
My work is mainly concerned with subjects of culture, tradition and anything to do with the interaction of human beings.
